The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs' HOME Program invites you to attend a one-day training for the Homebuyer Assistance (HBA) Program. The Homebuyer Assistance Program provides funding to assist eligible low-income homebuyers with down payment and closing cost assistance. Funds may also be provided for required accessibility modifications.
The training will be held in Austin, Texas on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 in Room 2.122 of the Thompson Conference Center at the University of Texas campus, located at 2405 Robert Dedman Drive, Austin, TX 78713, from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm. Case studies will be reviewed so attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops; internet access will be provided.
Through the 2011 HOME Single Family Programs Reservation System Notice of Funding Availability, $10,000,000 is available to assist eligible households with the rehabilitation or demolition and reconstruction of single-family residences owned and occupied by low-income households, downpayment assistance, and tenant-based rental assistance.
